COMMUNITY-BASED CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT PREVENTION (CBCAP)

For 2009-2010, CTF funded 9 comprehensive community-based programs through CBCAP monies made available through a Federal grant under Section 201 of the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) for $239,000. These are the only federal dollars designated specifically to the prevention of child abuse and neglect. The programs included Family Resource Centers, Home Visitation, Parent Education and Support programs, and Respite Care programs.
