Tag It!

CTF Personalized Car Tags

The message should be clear.  Prevention of child abuse and neglect is everyone’s responsibility.  When you buy a Children’s Trust Fund specialty license plate, approximately 92% of the purchase price goes directly to fund community-based prevention programs in Alabama.  These tags are available at every County Probate office and are tax-deductible.  They can be personalized with any combination of six letters or numerals at no additional charge.  However you decide to personalize your tag, the message is clear.

LWT Communications

LWT Communications was founded in Montgomery in 1959 and is a full-service marketing, media and Web development firm. For the past 6 years, the agency has held an event called CreateAthon, where the staff donates 24-straight hours to design and marketing work for select non-profit organizations.

Children's Trust Fund applied to be an LWT CreateAthon client in 2006 and was chosen along with 8 other non-profits. LWT designed a corporate brochure and poster for CTF utilizing rich photography of children at play, whimsical graphical elements and emotive words like "trust", "believe" and "hope."

"The work Children's Trust Fund does everyday and the grants they administer are so very important to the health and well being of children across Alabama. It was truly our honor to complete this work for CTF and their wonderful staff."

Giving Made Less Taxing…

Alabama Income Tax Check off

Every year we go through the motions.  Either on our own or through a professional, we file our state income tax.  It is always exciting to see ourselves coming out with a little extra instead of owing some back, but your return may be more powerful than you realize.

With over 80% of Children’s Trust Fund dollars going directly into programming designed to protect our children from abuse and neglect, your refund can become an investment in the children of this state.  This year consider donating all or part of your State of Alabama tax refund to the Child Abuse Trust Fund. This tax deductible donation can be done by simply attaching Schedule DC to your state return and indicating the “Child Abuse Trust Fund” (1d) as your preference.

Tobacco Cessation

All grantees should know that it is a requirement that they address the issue of the dangers of tobacco use. Below are links to some great resources from the American Heart Association that can assist you in spreading the word to clients, teachers, parents and children. Please inform teachers of these great tools! For additional information, please call Vicki Cooper-Robinson at 334-242-5710.
